Homemade Eeyore Birthday Cake
I decided to make an Eeyore Birthday Cake for my daughter's first birthday so I looked on the internet and found a picture that I liked and blew it up to the size I wanted and then traced it onto grease proof paper and cut it out.
I then placed it on top of a basic vanilla cake with toothpicks and cut around the shape. I then used the toothpicks to mark out all the details. Using butter cream I started with the small details first and then worked my way through to the large coloured areas. The black lined detail is done last.
I was so impressed with how it turned out and was actually not as difficult as you think. Give it a try, it is much cheaper then going to the cake shop and you feel a great sense of accomplishment after the finished product.
