Homemade Electric Guitar Cake

I choose to do a Electric guitar cake for my husband's 30th as the theme was heavy metal and his favorite band is Metallica so gave me the inspiration for this cake.

I made the cake from two square cake tins. I then cut out the body with a stencil that I drew up from one of the square cakes. I cut out the arm of the cake with the other cake. Then I frosted the cake with buttercream then I rolled out black fondant and placed it over the body first then the arm and then joined them together and cut out all the other parts of the cake in white fondant and placed on the cake, so parts where painted with edible paint and this was the result.

It was the absolute top hit of the night, no one could believe I made it.
