I decided to try to make a Elephant and Stars Diaper Cake for a friend’s babyshower and it turned out really well for being my first one. After that more and more friends wanted me to make them for them. My cakes are made completely of diapers with no cardboard inside. They are made of about 120-140 size 1 or 2 Huggies diapers.
I use the diapers flat on the outside and tie them together with some twine and then I stuff the inside with rolled up diapers and cover the twine with ribbon. They sit on a board for easier transportation and I cover the board with a receiving blanket made to match the theme. I decorate them with usable items like baby shampoo, baby lotion, bottle scrubbers, nail clippers, teething rings, baby spoons, etc. and I usually top them with a stuffed animal.
I love them, they turn out so cute!
