Coolest Elmo Cake 118

My son loves Elmo so I decided to make a homemade Elmo cake for his 2nd b'day. I made the base using 2 cake mixes in 11x15 sheet pan. Then baked the Elmo face using 1 cake mix in an Elmo shaped pan separately, iced the bottom cake and then put the Elmo cake on top of it. I then did the Elmo decoration as per the instruction on the pan.

I decorated the cake border with m&m's (brown and red) and with the Elmo ready made icing decorations. I baked both the cakes two days before the party and did the decoration and icing a day before. Had a good experience decorating my son's homemade Elmo cake and he loved it too.
