Homemade Elmo Cake

I made this Elmo cake for my brother in law as a funny cake.

I didn't want to buy a cake pan so I traced the rectangle cake pan on to wax paper. I used an Elmo picture as reference and traced out the eyes and jagged edges to cut out. There very little waste of cake.

I used red dye for the face, made orange for the nose and used a VERY dark chocolate icing for the mouth and eyes.

I piped the eyes on but smoothed them out with a spatula.
