My boyfriend is in love with his electric guitar, so I made his dream come true on his 21st Birthday by surprising him with a Cherry Red Fender Electric Guitar Cake. I made a stencil of his guitar and shrunk it down by making the neck of the guitar slightly smaller, the rest was life-size. I then made two slabs of mud cake and then pretty much cut the cake according to the stencil (you can also buy slabs of mud-cake from Safeway or any cake shop if it is too much effort).
I decorated using a plain icing with red food colouring, as well as a plain white mixture and a black food dye. I then decorated the guitar using licorice lengths, chocolate and other lollies.
