Homemade Fishing Birthday Cake
This Fishing Birthday Cake was made for a fishing/outdoorsman. I made a 12' round and a 10" round cake, let it cool for about an hour.
I frosted both with a crumb coat of buttercream and put it in the freezer overnight to firm up.
Then I frosted the grass using a star tip and the water. Just using a knife I added a beach with crushed graham crackers and the other decorations which are gummy worms, fish and frogs, the rocks on the side are chocolate covered peanuts and the dock is a Hershey bar. The boat is made of MM fondant left to harden overnight.
The fisherman is a Wilton cake topper I got at a local store. The 50 year old fisherman LOVED IT.
