Homemade Flip Flop Birthday Cake Idea
I made these cakes for my twin girls' thirteenth birthday. They are cute and easy to make. I baked each cake in a 9x13 pan and froze them after they cooled. I traced a flip-flop onto cardstock to make a template. The template made cutting the cake easier. Then I placed the template on each cake and cut around it. I colored butter cream icing and iced each cake.
Then I piped colored icing around the top and bottom edges of the cakes. I decorated the outer edge of each cake with Skittles and M&M’s. I used a fruit roll-up for the strap and placed a silk flower at the top. Hope you like my homemade flip flop birthday cake idea.
