I made this floral bridal shower cake for my girlfriend bridal shower. I used 3 different size round pans. You can use any size that you want. I used a 12″ round pan for the bottom. I used 3 boxes of choc cake mix and frosted with peanut butter cups mixed in butter cream frosting. I put peanut butter cups in a food processor and then added to butter cream frosting. Then put back in fridge to set.
For the second tier I used a 10″ round pan and 2 boxes of yellow cake mix and filled with a vanilla pudding. I frosted outside with butter cream frosting. Then sat in fridge to set. For the top tier I used a 6″ pan and one box of white cake mix. I filled this one with fresh sliced strawberries. I put some strawberry jelly in the microwave for a few seconds to thin out and mixed with the strawberries.
I frosted outside with the rest of butter cream frosting. Then set in fridge to set. I made an easy marshmallow fondant recipe I found on line. I rolled out fondant and covered each cake and smoothed out fondant then cut remainder off.
I cut a ribbon to size of cake and used just a touch of frosting to hold in place. I bought some fake flowers from my local craft store and placed on top. This cake was a stunning center piece. Happy cake making
