A friend needed a cake for her granddaughter’s second birthday. She wanted a flower and the colors were pink and purple. It was for a small group of people so I tried to keep it as small as possible.
The base is a double layer 10 inch pan frosted with a crumb coating, then with the pink layer topping it off.
The top i also a 10 inch cake that I used my kids cups to make the shape. I used frosting pens and traced the cups on the bottom of the cake. I then cut out the flower, going back over the corners to make them more defined. Then frosted it like the bottom.
It was a last minute request so I had to get it done fast. It took about 3 hours to make this cake, start to finish.
