Homemade Flyers Birthday Cake
My little brother loves the Philadelphia Flyers probably more than I do. So, for his birthday he wanted a hockey cake. They really don't make too many of those in stores so I decided to surprise him and crossed my fingers hoping this Flyers birthday cake would turn out.
This was my first cake I made without box directions. It took me about 9 hours to decorate with each little icing star. I probably should have just iced it flat with mostly black icing but it looks better with the little stars. I was so very happy with how it turned out and it was a huge hit at his birthday party. Oh and the black icing.. well it turned everyone's mouth black, but it was a good laugh.
