Frog Cake
This frog cake was inspired by a pin I found. I baked two sheet cakes, one 9x12 and another 8x8. I then set the 9x12 lengthwise (horizontal)and placed the 8x8 butted against the top center of the larger cake.
The 8x8 was the frog head and the 9x12 was the body. I then lightly traced the shape I needed to create a frog and then carved it out with a knife. I then frosted the exposed carved cake sides to keep it fresh.
Next I built up the frog mouth and tummy with the extra cake bits for a more 3D effect and then outlined the features, face, arms, legs and spots with the darker frosting.
The cake was a hit-but I was super nervous while making it that it wouldn't turn out!
