Homemade Frog Cake

For my dad's 50th birthday I wanted to make him a special cake, his favorite animal is a frog so I thought I'd go with that and make a frog cake.

The cake I made was my own chocolate-fudge cake recipe with extra galaxy chocolate chunks and a Belgian chocolate filling. I baked a round cake and cut it into the shape of a frog's face. I also gouged out some holes where the eyes should be.

I mixed up some green icing and covered the cake. I popped 2 white marshmallows into the eye-sockets so they bulged a little. I then drew on some pupils and a smile with some black writing icing.

I'm proud to say the cake was a huge hit and I got 3 offers of payment from people wanting me to make cakes for their families.
