Homemade Graduation Cake
This Graduation Cake was made for a friend's graduation party!
I baked and stacked 1/2 of Wilton's sports ball & 2-13x9 cakes, a little off centered! They were both crumb coated and final iced in the color of the graduation girls choice, then each outlined with the others color! Three sides were iced white with tip #12 to create the pages look, while the 4th side (spine) was iced in the book color. The words were iced with tip #5!
The graduation hat (sports ball) was placed on a board cut to size and covered with fondant. The top of hat was 2-8" boards glued together and covered in fondant also! They were attached with gum paste. I alternated purple and black stars with tip #16.
The cake was great, everyone loved it, and I love a challenge!
