Homemade Guitar Cake

My husband is a guitarist and a member of a group in our city. I made this guitar cake for their induction of officers party. It's a chocolate cake with choco filling. I added crushed peanuts to the filling so that it doesn't taste too sweet. I used the actual size of a ukulele for the shape.

First, I made the pattern of the body using waxed paper. The cake is composed of 2 9x13 size for the body(double layer) and 1 8x12 for the arm. After I spread the 9x13 inch cake with choco filling and crushed peanuts, I placed the 2nd one on top of it then placed the waxed paper pattern on top and carefully shaped it.

The arm was easier to do. I just cut 2 3-inch strips spread the fillings and stuck it to the body with butter cream then I covered the whole cake with choco frosting. The front cover is made of fondant but I used butter cream on the sides and borders.
