Crystal's Guitar Cake
This was a guitar cake for my brother on his 24th birthday. We all enjoy playing Rockband and guitar hero so I made a template based off of a guitar he owns and went from there. The cake is about 9x13in. without the neck (which was made from rice krispie treats).
It may be hard to tell but the color is green and white marble. All the frosting is fondant including the candle bases. I used a bendy straw for the whammy bar and grey colored fondant for the metal details.
Tips: If you're planing to make a guitar with fondant, choose a design without tight corners or curves. The fondant tends to rip and is hard to repair in small spaces.
