Homemade Handy Manny Birthday Cake Design
My twins were turning 3 and requested aHandy Manny Birthday Cake Design. I decided that the best way to get an accurate picture of Manny and the tools for a Frozen Buttercream transfer would be to start out with a free coloring sheet from the internet.
I found several different sheets that I liked and traced out the pictures onto a sheet of wax paper until I had the one of a kind Handy Manny picture for my twins. I wanted to have my kids names written on the cake so I typed up their names on the computer and used the reverse image print option and taped it underneath the wax paper in preparation for the cake topping.
You will want to mix all the colors as close as possible to Manny and the tools. I found a recipe online for the frozen buttercream and mixed colors and prepared the topping.
You will outline your drawing in black icing and then fill in the colors on the wax paper with . Make sure you fill in the colors (round tips:3, 4, and 5 - smaller tips for smaller spaces) that are seen first. For example, when I was working on the faces I would do the blacks in the eyes then, the brown, and last the white. It's important to remember the layers as you go. Here is my cake. It was a hit with my twins!
