Homemade Hannah Montana Birthday Cake
My daughter wanted a Hannah Montana birthday cake for her sixth birthday and all I could find for examples were guitar cakes. I decided to try something different. I bought the singing Hannah doll and made a stage cake.
I just baked a large rectangle sheet and shaped it and iced it with gray. I used a splatter shield for the backdrop and downloaded some pictures, laminated them and stuck them on it. I smoothed the stage icing with a knife and a bit of water. The best thing about the cake was that the front stage lights were actual little flashlights wrapped in foil.
Before presenting the cake to my daughter and her friends, I turned the lights on (to strobe setting) and pressed the doll's stomach so she sang a Hannah song. The girls were SO excited. And... I was excited because the cake was VERY easy to decorate.
