Homemade Hannah Montana Guitar Cake

I just started experimenting with fondant. I was asked if I would make a Hannah Montana guitar cake for my niece's birthday. I thought I would give it a try! I used a half sheet cake for the bottom, covered with white fondant and Hannah Montana themed colored stars, and painted swirls.

For the guitar (inspired from the Disney Hannah Montana electric guitar), I cut the body from a half sheet and covered with fondant details. I painted white pearl on the white parts and swirl designs. For the fingerboard, I covered a piece of white foam board with fondant and attached with wooden dowels.

I embellished the fingerboard with little rhinestones. I would have done the neck a little differently next time, but this was the first time experimenting! The Hannah Montana print is an edible print I got from the local cake supply store that I put on fondant...the colors for the stars came from the print!
