Homemade Hannah Montana Guitar Cake

I made this Hannah Montana Guitar Cake for my niece's 5th birthday. I used a Wilton Guitar Cake pan and followed the instructions for the electric guitar. I used a yellow cake mix and cut the cake in half to put frosting in the middle, for a little extra something!

I iced the whole cake in white icing. Then I made dark and light purple and black icing. I "drew" the guitar design on the cake with a toothpick. I think outlined the base of the guitar with a #3 tip in black icing. Then I used the star tip and filled in the base with the dark and light purple stars.

I started with the dark purple then worked my way to the light purple. I then added the handle of the guitar freehand with icing. Then I put on the guitar strings with white icing and I wrote Happy Birthday Sierra in black icing.
