I got this cake idea for a Hawaiian Luau birthday cake from Cake Central. When I first saw it I thought that it would go great with the theme. I made this cake for my uncle’s birthday and he loved it.
The cake is a sheet cake but I did it double layer. Which is German chocolate on the bottom layer and French vanilla on top layer. It was filled with white chocolate mousse and iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. I made the Hawaiian girl 3 days in advance so that way it could get hard.
As for the decorations I made them about 2 days in advance with the leaf cutters and flowers cutters. And I hand painted the face to the Hawaiian girl.
