Homemade Hello Kitty Birthday Cake

I made this cake Hello Kitty Birthday Cake for my daugther's first birthday.

I made two cakes, a big one made with 8 eggs and a little one on top. I filled with Dulce De Leche (a very popular milk-based sauce in Uruguay).
I covered with white icing and put sugar dots all around.

A friend of mine gave me a Kitty doll of his daughter. I put it on top of the cake; behind I put a bunch of balloons from an old souvenir.

I make cupcakes and put into a striped pink box behind the cake. I make Alfajores as well (a local sweet make with butter, and filled with Dulce de Leche and coconut.

I love Hello Kitty since I was a child, so I decided this theme for Antonia's first birthday.
