I made this Hello Kitty birthday cake for my great niece who just loves Hello Kitty. Her reaction was so cute. She ran up to it and said “Hello Kitty! Hello Kitty!” Everyone was amazed at it because it stood up to a very long drive from Texas to La.
She was made of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Her head was made of Rice Krispy. She was butter cream crumb coated and homemade fondant flavored in strawberry.
Her bow was made of gum paste. I added some star dusting powder to it and to the body as well. I also added some white pearls to her dress. Her arms were Rice Krispy covered with fondant.
I really had a lot of fun making this cake. It did take a lot of time and patience but, I love this for my family and friends.
