Homemade Hello Kitty Birthday Cake

This Hello Kitty birthday cake is one of my favorite creations. I really like to bake cakes, gingerbread etc. I'd like to be a confectioner one day.

My nieces have quite a rush on Hello Kitty, so I made this for them for their birthday. It's quite easy to make. It's a spongecake with strawberry filling. I downloaded a picture from the internet(the one on this page isn't really good,sorry), I cut it out, and that was the gauge. That's the most important part of the cake because of the 'special' proportion's of Hello Kitty.

I cut it, filled it and covered it with icing. The icing is only powdered(icing) sugar and a few drops of water and lemon juice. I used candies for the decoration.
