Coolest Hello Kitty Cake

This Hello Kitty Cake is a triple fudge chocolate two layer cake with buttercream frosting and marshmallow fondant made for my daughter’s 4th birthday. It was really easy to make. Marshmallow fondant is much easier to use and make and tastes much better then regular fondant.

I made the marshmallow fondant the night before. Baked and frosted the cake. Took a small piece of fondant and set aside, then took the rest and colored it pink, rolled out and placed over frosted cake. The remaining fondant I rolled and cut out a kitty shape, with the remaining pieces I rolled eyes, a nose and whiskers. Painted them with gel food coloring mixed with water. And did the same for the writing.

After it was all assembled I piped buttercream around the edges and sprinkled with black and pink edible glitter.
