3D Hello Kitty Cakes

For my daughter's 3rd birthday she decided it should be Hello Kitty, and I was not so sure about my artistic ability to draw this, so I took the stand up teddy bear pan handed down to me from my mother (used for my birthdays as a child) and a cupcake sized version of the same. She really likes the idea of Mommy kitty and Baby kitty.

After the Hello Kitty cakes were cooled I carved the ears into points like a cat. Then I cut off the feet, and carved them into front facing feet instead of side feet, and stuck them back on with frosting. then I just found a cute picture on the internet and frosted it the best I could, with a yellow M&M nose for the big kitty, and a small piece for the small kitty.

Unfortunately, she wouldn't eat the small kitty, even though it was all for her on her plate. But the big kitty sure tasted great, and was not hard to prepare!
