Coolest High Heel Cupcakes

We have a group of 6 moms that enjoy getting together. We try to do a little something for each other on our birthdays. For my friend Jill, I decided to make the cutest high heel cupcakes.

I first found the cupcake liners to determine the color of the “shoes”. Baked the cupcakes and then went to town! I had so much fun making these. The yellow ones were simply iced with yellow icing and pink swirls. The green ones were iced with green icing and then dipped into green sprinkles. Pink icing for flowers and sugar pearls finish it off.

The purple ones took a little more work. I had the carve out the toe and sole sections and ice them with white candy melts. I iced the top purple and used licorice to line the edges. Sugar pearls again and then it was time for the heel pieces. I used graham crackers and dipped the top in white candy melts. I dipped the edges in sprinkles and attached a chocolate hazelnut rolled wafer with the candy melts.

My friends couldn’t believe that they were edible cupcakes and one friend took one home to her daughter because she would love it. They were delicious!
