Coolest Homemade Graveyard Birthday Cake

This Homemade Graveyard Birthday Cake was made for my son’s 10th birthday party. His birthday is October 28 so he wanted a Halloween theme. I baked 2 devil’s food cakes in a 12×18 pan. After the cake cooled, I iced it with 2 cans of chocolate frosting.

Then I put the fence around the outside. This was from my son’s army men play set. The “hands” along the back were from the dollar store. The “dirt” is graham cracker crumbs. I used Milano cookies for tombstones and wrote RIP in black gel icing. Then I mounded some frosting and more “dirt” in front of each tombstone. The spiders were also from the dollar store.

The cake was a big hit at the party and many guests asked where it was purchased from.
