Homemade Turtle Birthday Cake
I made this Turtle cake for my niece Shari's birthday. She wanted a turtle cake so I made her one. I get a lot of ideas from this website, as well as others, and then recreate them, adding my personal touch.
For the base cake, I made a chocolate with pudding filling cake in a Betty Crocker fill and bake pan. I then made a 10" round cake, with the same ingredients, and covered them both with fondant which was tinted a very light brown. I then used some pink fondant which was left over from another cake. I cut out some shapes from the pink and brown fondant and attached them to the turtle with vanilla flavoring.
