Homemade Hula Girl Birthday Cake

I thought I was being clever when I came up with the idea to use the grass/hair tip to make a grass hula skirt to put on a doll cake. Guess there are other brilliant people out there too.

Anyway, I made 3 different colors of green and then put them all in the same bag to get variated color with the grass skirt. I did a crumb frosting and then did shorter strokes with the grass tip starting at the bottom and layering my way up. This gave the skirt the appearance of having differnt layers of grass in the skirt.

I finished off the Hula Girl Birthday Cake with a few bright simple flowers to give it some color and fun.
