Homemade In the Night Garden Birthday Cake
This n the Night Garden Birthday Cake took a lot of time and effort. It consists of 2 sponge cakes, one on top of the other covered separately in green fondant. The characters are all made of coloured fondant icing, as are the daisies.
I made the characters a week before the cake ensuring enough time for them to dry out. I then made the two cakes and iced them, then added the characters, and finished with piped icing.
Well worth the effort, my daughter loved it!
