Coolest In the Night Garden Birthday Cake

I made this In the Night Garden Birthday Cake by using the normal ingredients for a sponge cake, I then filled it with jam and butter icing.

After filling I covered with white icing and decorated it with coloured stars bought from the supermarket. I then made butterflies and pieces of grass from coloured icing and stuck them on.

I found pictures of Iggle piggle and Makka Pakka and made the figures using colored icing, had to try and mix the icing for the colour of Makka Pakka, still came out darker than I wanted but my daughter didn’t mind.

When I had made the figures I placed them onto the cake and made some cubes using pink icing and stuck stars on the top of each and then used the icing pens to write her name. Last I put on the candle to finish it off.

My kids loved this cake and couldn’t wait to dive into it.
