Coolest Jack O Lantern Cake 39

Homemade Pumpkin Cake
I made this Jack O Latern cake for my son who's birthday is on Halloween. He turned 6 this year.
The cake is 2 9" chocolate rounds, with chocolate pudding between the two layers. The frosting is vanilla, colored with yellow & red to make the orange. I used a regular star tip to apply the icing, but not in the traditional "dots" normally used with a star tip. I pulled from the center out to create this look.
Chocolate chips are used as the eyes, nose & mouth of the Jack-o-Lantern. Holding the chocolate chips in your hand for just a few seconds while applying help give them a shinier look.
