Homemade Jurassic Birthday Cake

Homemade Jurassic Birthday Cake

I made this Jurassic Birthday Cake for my son's 7th birthday. Everything is edible except for the wires on the volcano. I used the Barbie dress mold for the volcano, pretzel sticks for the trees and crushed graham crackers for the dirt look on the ground.

On top of the trees, I placed a ball of fondant then covered with icing for the leaves. The dinosaurs are made of royal icing. I printed them out then traced them with icing onto parchment paper. Anything with royal icing must be done a few days in advance to give them time to dry properly.
