Kittens Cake
I made this Kittens cake for my birthday to share with friends at dinner. I have never decorated a cake before and stumbled along this site and was inspired to give it a try. I left it till the last moment so I borrowed an idea from this site; kittens on a ball of wool.
I just made a chocolate cake sphere from two Pyrex bowls and joined and coated them with butter cream. Then used fondant to make my kittens and wool. If i could do it again i would choose a different colour than purple, and make it less Halloween looking, but I was fairly happy for my first try and I am looking forward to an opportunity to make another.
