Homemade Ladybug Birthday Cake

I made this Ladybug Birthday Cake for my daughter's 4th birthday. I used all round pans in varying sizes, some for the base, body, and head. I rounded the body cakes to give it the real life effect.

I used one half of the ball pan for the head and used toothpicks to hold it in place. I crumb coated all of the parts and then continued to finish with the different colors. For the grass I used the grass tip for a life like look. All of the other tips were different sizes of the writing tips.

For the antenna I used licorice, the eyes are jelly beans, and the nose was a round piece of hard candy. The rest of the facial details were just pipped on.
