Ladybug Cake

I made this ladybug cake for my daughter's 5th birthday, she loved it and it's easy! I used one 9 inch cake pan and six cupcakes because I only had 6 cupcake liners. I colored vanilla frosting with red food coloring for the body. I bought the black decorating icing with a star tip at the supermarket.

I used a regular marshmallow cut in half for the big ladybug for the eyes and mini marshmallows cut in half for the cupcakes. I dotted the eyes and made spots on the cupcakes with black writing icing. I used black licorice for the little legs on either side.

I got my inspiration from this website and I think it came out awesome.
