Coolest Largest Martini Glass Shaped Cake

We made this Largest Martini Glass Shaped Cake, measuring 3 1/2 feet tall X 2 feet wide x 12″ high. We used three round 24″ cakes for the martini bowl and the base/stand. Then 2 rectangular molds 18″ X 12″ for the stem. Two of the round cake molds were chocolate, 1 was vanilla. Between the cakes we layered fresh strawberries and Grand Mariner, used three layers of icing and then colored our fondant to match our favorite martini: the 24K gold martini from Elements Kitchen & Martini Bar in Las Vegas.

The fondant reflected the colors of the martini which is made with Blood orange vodka, orange juice, Campari, orange bitters and lemon grass simple syrup, with a gold speckled rim (edible 24 K Gold). We also created a blood orange slice made from left over cake, icing and fondant. The stem of the cake and base we used a white & gold shimmer to reflect glass.
