Homemade Lightening McQueen and The King Cake
My sons birthday's are 4 weeks apart so we have one party between them. I wanted a theme and they both like Lightening McQueen. So I decided to make one huge Lightening McQueen and The King Cake but give them both their "own" cakes. The sheet cake is 12" by 30" and the cars are made with the Wilton 3-D Cruiser cake pan. This took 6 cake mixes and 10 cups of buttercream frosting. Everything is edible. The spoilers on cars are both made out of graham crackers and frosted over.
This took me 5 hours for decorate but was all well worth it! I made the road first and then place one car on and decorated it and then the other car. I did the grass last.
