This was the first time I’d ever tried to do a Lightning McQueen Birthday Cake like this. I actually got the idea from this site. It was pretty easy. I used the Wilton 3D cake pan and of course had to shave it down and make a spoiler with the rest. I used a boxed cherry chip cake and
I used canned frosting and just added my colors. After the cake cooled I used a whipped frosting for the base, and took a toothpick to outline the cake before putting on the colored frosting. I also took 2 chocolate boxed cakes and used 2 13 x 9 pans and then put black icing on them and made a road for McQueen to sit on. I didn’t take a picture of it but it turned out really great!
Everybody was pretty impressed with the way it turned out including myself.
