Homemade Lightning McQueen Birthday Cake
I did this Lightning McQueen Birthday Cake for a good friend's grandson's birthday. The cake was a hit with everyone! I enjoyed doing this cake as with all the cakes I have done. I am getting better all the time.
I think the clouds and sun makes this cake stand out. I changed up the colors a little as I do every cake to make it my own. I think everyone should. That way you have a one of a kind creation. This cake took 3 cake mixes (I don't make my own cake mix yet!), 2 for the sheet and 1 for the car. It was a very heavy cake. It took me around 5 hours to decorate it.
I do make my own buttercream frosting from a recipe of course. Well I think I will start on my next creation. Happy baking everyone! Most of all have fun!
