Coolest Little Charlie Bear Cake

This Little Charlie Bear cake is one for those avoiding the use of food coloring – just two toned chocolate icing. I made the cakes in advance and froze them. Then, the day before I cut the cakes while frozen and “glued” them with raspberry jam, and refroze it in its shape. The icing set as I worked, which was a bonus!

  1. Hi,
Your cake looks absolutely fantastic. I will use it as inspiration for my daughter’s 3rd birthday cake. Thanks for posting. Any tips on its creation would be warmly received.

  2. I made one round and one square cake – both using packet mix, and froze them. This makes it easier to cut into the correct shape. You will find a very good image on Google images, and once printed it is easy to make the shapes. If you like, I have photos of uniced cake that I could email you? I used butter icing which sets really well, especially if the cake is still frozen.
