Little Einstein's Rocket Cake

Little Einstein's Rocket Cake

For this Little Einstein's Rocket cake, I used the 10" Wilton oval pan and half of the 8" Wilton 3D egg pan. I made two cake mixes and used the extra batter to make cupcakes. I used 4 Twinkies for the engines and attached them together and to Rocket using toothpicks.

Then I carved a graham cracker to use for the fin on top of the engines. The headlights were Necco wafers, which I used also used on the back of the engines. The antenna was a red Dum-Dum. I made a buttercream frosting using 2 lbs of confectioners sugar, 2 sticks of butter, some milk to get the consistency I wanted and 2 tsp of vanilla. For the frosting colors, I used AmeriColor #120 Super Red, AmeriColor #103 Sky Blue and Country Kitchen Emerald Green.

For the grass around Rocket I used tip #32. I piped a little bit of the green frosting onto my board and then set the Little Einstein's on each spot. It was a lot of fun to make this cake! All of the kids loved it!

This is the coolest cake I have seen in this site so far. My little one loves Little Einsteins so this would be perfect. Thanks for the idea and the instructions.
