Little Mermaid Cake
For my daughter's sixth birthday she wanted a Little Mermaid Cake. To decorated it, I made some royal icing. Then I traced an Ariel from a coloring book on a some parchment paper. Outlined it with some black icing, then used it like a stamp on the cake.
Once it was stamped on the cake, I filled it in, I used Wilton's no taste red food coloring, and there flesh coloring as well. I used a baby silver spoon and some warm water to smooth out the rough patches. It turned out lovely and everyone had nothing but compliments on the cake at the party.
