This Little Pet Shop cake is one of many I've done. It's so cute because a little girl saw one of my chocolate wedding cakes. She loved it so much that every time she came to my store she insist on walking by to show her family.

So when her fifth birthday came up her mom came to me and had no idea what she wanted except that it look like a wedding cake. We decided on her favorite toy for the theme. Bright multi colored paw prints to go with the pets and multi colored ribbon wrapped pillars.

The pictures this mom brought me of her daughter's first time seeing it,well, too adorable.

This is actually a VERY simple cake! You need to make 2 different sized rectangle cakes. the pillars are just the basic pillars sold at walmart then wrapped in ribbon. Put the bigger cake on the bottom and frost it any way you choose. Put the smaller cake on a cake board, decorate. Put the pillars on the bottom layer, put the top layer on the pillars. This cake has actual pet shop toys not sugar paste animals.
