Homemade Little Spotted Puppy Dog Cake
I made this cute homemade little spotted puppy dog cake for my sons very first birthday. I was inspired by some of the puppy cakes found on this site but did my own little twist on it! It was easy to make and super yummy! He Loved it! I put him up on the table to see it, and he started laughing... so cute!
Supplies Needed:
3 Round Cakes
5 Cupcakes
1 Red Gumdrop
19 Junior Mints
4 Keebler Grasshopper Mint Cookies (or Girl Scout Thin Mints)
White Frosting
Chocolate Frosting
Use two of the round cakes to form the head and body, cut a little crescent shape out so that the head and body will fit better together. Use the third cake to cut out the ears and tale. After frosting the cake and cupcakes with white frosting, decorate four cupcakes using junior mints and mint cookies to form the puppy paws.
Flatten a red gumdrop to form the tongue, and use Junior mints for the eyes and nose! Use the brown frosting to make spots!
