Homemade Mario Bros. Birthday Cake
I made this Mario Bros. Birthday Cake for my daughter's third birthday. I got a few ideas off the internet and then practiced drawing the design onto a piece of paper. I frosted a rectangle cake with white buttercream frosting.
Then I carefully piped the outline of Mario onto the cake. I filled in his clothes and face with the different colors of icing using a small round tip and then smoothed them with my finger which I had lightly dipped in cornstarch. I piped a border around the top and bottom edges with a star tip and added her name and that was it.
It was fairly easy and she loved it. I was really happy with the turn out.
