Homemade Mario Brother's Birthday Cake
This Mario Brother's Birthday Cake is frosted smooth with buttercream and then I used buttercream to decorate is for lack of experience with fondant. I think it turned out pretty good for buttercream. I did use a toothpick to draw all the things on the cake. Stars, stairs, clouds, mushrooms and even the bushes.
I did all this before beginning to pipe. I wanted to make sure everything was where I liked it first. This is two 9 inch cakes with two 8 inch cakes on the top.
