Homemade Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake

I made our son a Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake for his first birthday. It turned out super-cute. I got many ideas from this awesome site!

The head is made of a double layered 9" round cake, and the ears, made of the Wilton ball mold. I used buttercreme frosting, with sanding sugar for the ears, and starred the face in, using coordinating colors.

Mickey at his finest was a hit at the party!
