Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake
I used a very large sheet pan to bake the bottom of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake. Then I used a ceramic baking bowl to bake the bottom of the clubhouse. I used rice crispy treats for the foot and leg.
I tried to do the same for the hand, but it kept falling, so I removed it. I used black painted Styrofoam balls for the head and ears. Then I attached the ears to the clubhouse using Popsicle sticks as braces.
I used green buttercream frosting for the grass/bottom, and red for the bottom of the clubhouse. Then I covered the foot/leg with yellow fondant and used red, yellow, and blue fondant for the doors, windows, balloons, balls on bottom edge and letters. I bought a stencil at a craft store to make the letters.
I actually made way too much cake mix, so I used the extra to make cupcakes for the kids and used fondant to make Mickey ears/head to top them. For my son I made it look like a little mini clubhouse to distinguish his from the others.
Then I also made a small round cake (not pictured) with black fondant Mickey Ears to use for his actual birthday (2 days after his party). I still had 1/2 a sheet cake left!
